About the artist

Doug Rickard

American

1968-2021

American photographer. Born in San Jose, CA. Rickard studied US History and Sociology at UC San Diego. He photographed images from his computer monitors which he searched on Google Street View and Youtube to create a series of photographs. Known for his book, A New American Picture (2010) and his website, American Suburb X.
