About the artist

Lyssa Park

Lyssa Park is an illustrator and fabric artist based in Las Vegas, Nevada. She received her BFA in Illustration from California College of the Arts and her MFA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). During her time at UNLV, Park’s practice expanded from editorial illustrations to large-scale fabric tapestries and interactive soft sculptures. Through her use of fabric, Park questions the Korean feminine mystique and unveils the unmentioned customs of motherhood. Park’s recent research into U.S. military bases has opened a myriad of ideas for her.
