Munehiro was a well-known Osaka School Ukiyo-e printmaker, however, little is known about him other than he studied under Konishi Hirosada and that he was considered one of the most outstanding printmakers of the Osaka School. The Osaka School of Ukiyo-e artists was characterized by its "dramatic and expressive style."
