About the artist

Dailyn “Dai” Eades

Dailyn “Dai” Eades is a multicultural Black-Indigenous multidisciplinary abstract artist that focuses on paintings and ceramic sculptures. Abstraction is a means for them to externalize their internal thought processes. As they use color theory to explore & evoke emotion, texture to demonstrate depth and understanding. They began pairing abstract paintings and ceramic sculptures to show the multifaceted experience of being. Her paintings reflect their inner world and the ceramic sculptures serve as a vessel for their outer world. Embedding ceramic tiles into paintings on wood panels to reflect their complex relationship of connection and separation that they feel within themself and the natural world. She also often embeds pieces of nature that she finds. They use these materials to reflect the sacred connections of nature, spirituality and culture.
