Constance Edwards Scopelitis graduated with a fine arts degree from Indiana University. Post undergraduate years she studied with legendary American figurative painter Isabel Bishop and then studied at the Art Students League in NYC. While her master works are considered her graphite drawings, she is also known for her tech oriented Lenticular prints, animated videos, and Interactive touch screen programs. She works consistently to maintain her formal training while pushing the boundaries of 21c technologies. Scopelitis was selected as a Time-Based finalist for ArtPrize8 with her animated video, “Bang Bang!”.
Scopelitis has been awarded national and international fellowships including the Creative Renewal Fellowship through the Eli Lilly Foundation and the DeHaan Artist of Distinction Award. She is also regularly exhibited in national and international art fairs including Art Miami during Basel Week. She is collected by museums, institutions, and private individuals.
