This painting was not supposed to be pink. It resisted, moved in another direction, and I nearly lost it. Then came the shift. A return through color that I trust instinctively. Pink opened the surface, pulled everything into alignment, and revealed what had been buried underneath. What remains holds that history. A painting that almost slipped away and then found its way back through a single decision.
