This work explores the atmosphere of a pond at night, where reflections, depth, and fragments of color emerge slowly from darkness. Built through layered paint and abstraction, the surface shifts between concealment and revelation, allowing small moments of light and movement to appear within the darker field. The painting is rooted in memory and sensation rather than direct observation, capturing the feeling of looking into water at night when forms dissolve, blur, and become uncertain. The darkness becomes active and immersive, holding both tension and quiet transformation.
