Wild Bird Sanctuary Valley Park, Missouri | January 2021 While visiting a wild bird sanctuary, I caught this owl staring straight into my camera with those enormous golden eyes. There was something wonderfully stern and dignified about his expression, as if my camera had somehow offended him. His look seemed to say, “I beg your pardon?” I’m still not quite sure what I did to deserve such disapproval.
