Cherokee Street St. Louis, Missouri | November 2020 On a busy street in the City of St. Louis, it would have been easy to walk right past this tree. Instead, I looked up. From beneath, the familiar fall canopy became something entirely different—the dark trunk stretching upward and disappearing into a ceiling of golden leaves. I love changing my perspective when I photograph something familiar. Sometimes you don’t need to find something new to see; you just need to look at it differently.
