Fragmented topographies in this series of prints become another form of navigation within Finding Buoyancy. Like buoys on the water or stars overhead, these aerial views inspired by my travels suggest that finding our bearings often depends upon where and how we choose to look. The title Plane View plays on the idea of plain view—and how sometimes we are blinded by what has been right in front of us all along.
