This series expands from river navigation into celestial navigation, specifically referencing fixed stars, Orion’s Belt and the recent planetary parade while squares emerge and disappear within the surface like camouflaged buoys, an invitation to lose yourself in the surface to “find the buoy.” The recurring buoyancy symbol derived from a Zibu-inspired form and adapted into my own visual language, the symbol represents balance, resilience, and the capacity to rise and remain open to change without losing one’s center. This sacred linear and somewhat lyrical glyph is used in energy healing to help a person rise above heavy, negative vibrational energies and feel light.
