Cindy Ingram, a queer entrepreneur from Cottage Grove, has been a leader in the Eugene Art scene for over 20 years as a musician, music promoter, exhibit designer, festival creator and arts advocate. Although she has just began painting her own work a few years ago, she has quickly gained recognition and receives invites to share her brightly colorful work across the Pacific Northwest and even internationally. She begins each large canvas with an abstract under painting of spray paint, following with layers of acrylic mediums and then finishes with markers and liquid inks. She says that she never knows what she is going to paint, she just allows it to happen and then decides what it is when it’s done.
