Fuster was born in Caibarién, Villa Clara, Cuba. He is a painter, draftsman, ceramist, sculptor, and engraver. Member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC). He studied at the School for Instructors of Arts (1963 – 1965) and began in the ceramic workshop of Cubanacán, where he gained the experience in small and large mosaics.
He has participated in numerous international events and exhibits. He has received numerous awards and mentions both in Cuba and abroad such as the Distinction for National Culture in 1996 in Cuba Received the recognition “Gitana Tropical” granted by the Province of Havana City in 2005. He received the Raul Gomez Garcia Order, imposed by the CTC, in 2011, the Replica of the Machete of General Maximo Gomez, granted by the Minister of the FAR from Cuba. Since 1994 Fuster has been developing the Community Project LA ALEGRIA DE VIVIR in his community of Jaimanitas, La Habana, Cuba, where he lives and works.
Fuster has exhibited in his native Cuba, United states, Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, Mejico, Panama, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Germany, Japan, among many others in individual and collective exhibits.
