Kaden Grouby is a Quadrille Dancer and Spoken Word Poet based in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. Their work explores queerness and the relational impacts of colonialism. Kaden has performed at the 2023 Pride Through Art Showcase. Their journey as an artist began as a clarinetist in public school under the tutelage of Mario Thomas and Kevré L. Hendricks. They learned and refined their Quadrille skills as a member of We Deh Yah Cultural Dancers Inc. Kaden’s passion for the culture, history, and future of AyAy is the driving force behind their artistic practice.
