A lone pine spirals skyward in a dramatic ribbon of green, each layer of branches twisting in on itself like a wave frozen mid-motion. Painted at a larger scale than its companion piece, this tree becomes almost architectural — a monument to decades of standing exposed on Georgian Bay’s granite shoreline. Chris was fascinated by these shaped, weathered pines; here he lets one fill the entire canvas, turning survival into pure sculptural form.
