An ongoing series of experimental pieces that play with paint, water, evaporation, and time. Holding the sacred space of creating for the sake of creation, without an end goal in mind, to see what happens is a challenge. In the world of press deadlines, exhibition planning, personal obligations, malfunctioning bodies, traffic jams, and late buses, time to play - so critical to being human, often gets put on the back burner or lopped off the list altogether. Time for play and experimentation is critical to my working process and general mental health. This project has reminded me of the importance of harnessing the power of play in and out of the studio.
