Cheryl Clinton is a fine arts painter, inspired by intuitive memory and light in the landscape. Her work indicates a collaborative approach to the arts, community and study. Clinton's paintings evoke the moods, colors, and patterns of light in the landscape.
After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Massachusetts College of Art, Clinton traveled to Europe. The waterways of Venice and the surf of Skopelos Island inspired her sense of the natural world. She then went on to complete her Master of Fine Arts in Visual Design from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Her family’s move in 2002 to Boylston, MA invoked childhood memories of the unspoiled beauty of rural New England. Her passion for lush landscape eventually landed her in a studio situated in the quaint country setting of Holliston, MA where she currently resides.
