Yvonne Cavens is a Scottish artist whose work explores stillness, atmosphere, memory, and moments of emotional pause.

For a long time, she believed she had lost the ability to create art, but through pastel studies and intermittent practice, she gradually rebuilt her connection to creative expression.

In 2022, following her first online exhibition, she began pursuing her work professionally with encouragement from people she worked alongside in healthcare. She gained a BA in Arts and Humanities in 2024.

Influenced by Scottish landscapes and animals, her work explores moments of pause within uncertain, fast-moving times. She works primarily in sketchbooks, a choice that allows privacy, care, and freedom in the development of each piece.
