Dissolving Echoes by Will Schmahl

This piece feels like a layered memory, a reflection blurred by time and movement. The deep blues and purples cascade down the canvas like streaks of rain on a glass surface, distorting whatever lies beyond. The subtle horizontal lines and grid-like textures beneath the surface give the impression of something structured—perhaps a cityscape, a digital signal, or an emotional imprint—slowly dissolving into abstraction.

There’s a dreamlike quality to the composition, as if it’s capturing a fleeting moment caught between clarity and erosion. The drips running downward enhance the sense of fluidity, like ink bleeding onto fabric or water seeping through an old photograph. It carries an almost meditative, melancholic beauty, drawing the viewer into its depths.
