Vig Mayol’s journey flows much like her paintings, guided by movement, intuition, and a deep connection to her surroundings.
Originally from Buenos Aires, she earned her degree in Visual Arts from the University of the Arts before bringing her practice to Florida, where she has taught at the Sarasota Art Museum, part of Ringling College of Art and Design. Her path has included a live painting demonstration organized by the Tampa Museum of Art, showcased her work at the celebrated Kips Bay Decorator Show House, and collaborations with Serena & Lily, where her paintings have found homes among light-filled interiors.
Vig’s work is rooted in expressive figurative painting, often portraying women with confident strokes and intuitive lines. Her exploration of transparency and layered color gives each piece a sense of depth and movement, capturing the energy of the moment.
She also illustrated the cover of Next Time Will Be Our Time by Jesse Sutanto and earned the Art Battle Regional Championship, representing Florida.
Today, her paintings are part of public and private collections across the United States and Argentina, each one a reflection of rhythm, resilience, and the ever-evolving nature of her artistic voice.
