Contemporary Expressionist, Vickie Marsango, employs color, gesture, and fearless exploration. Her canvases pulse with energy. Rich layers of acrylic, oil, encaustic, and/or mixed media works collide in tactile symphonies of marks, brushwork, color, and light. Every stroke reflects intuition guided by mastery. Spontaneity dances with deliberate composition, and raw emotion finds elegant resolution.
From her studio and gallery in Jensen Beach, Florida, Marsango’s work travels widely. It enhances private homes, corporate spaces, and public collections internationally. Interior designers, galleries, and art collectors seek her pieces for their versatility and emotional resonance. Each painting becomes a living presence in any environment.
Trained in fine arts, art history, and interior design in Illinois, California, and Florida, she has deepened her practice through decades of study with contemporary masters, as well as through exploratory research and independent development.
She is both a celebrated artist and a transformative instructor. As founder of Expressive Explorations, she guides artists worldwide through her online courses taught from her studio, and her in-person intensives at the Vero Beach Museum of Art and the Ah Haa School for the Arts in Telluride, Colorado. She also hosts advanced abstract painting retreats at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
What distinguishes Marsango is her rare ability to bridge the visceral and the intellectual. She teaches artists to trust their intuition while sharpening their perception. Students master visual weight, color harmony, compositional rhythm, and the delicate balance between chaos and control. Her own paintings embody this philosophy. They emerge bold yet refined, energetic yet harmonious, inviting viewers to linger, feel, and discover something new with every glance.
