About the artist

Pharaoh Kakudji

French

b. 2000

Pharaoh Kakudji is a French artist originally from America, Congo and Spain. Both of his parents are artists, thus he was immersed in diverse visual arts and music since his birth. He completed a year of academic studies at the Prep'Art School in Paris and after graduating, moved to New York at the age of 19 to pursue his artistic career. Today, he works between New York, Los Angeles and Paris. He works with different mediums: photography, video, textiles and sculpture, to present his own perspectives of the world. He was selected for the 2022 edition of the Reiffers Art Initiatives mentorship program.
