About the artist

William Weege

American

1935-2020

American printmaker. Weege studied printmaking, collage, and sculpture at the University of Wisoncsin. Between 1970-71, he exhibited at the Worlds Fair in Japan, the 7th International Biennial Exhibition, MoMA, and the Whitney. He has worked primarily with silkscreen and is interested in adapting graphic arts techniques for fine arts applications. He is the leader in digital printmaking, and regarded for his large abstract handmade paper projects.
