About the artist

Tom Stanley

American

b. 1950

Earned his M.A. in applied art history and M.F.A. in painting from the University of South Carolina in 1980. Served in the art departments at Arkansas College and Barry University. Also served as the director of the Waterworks Visual Arts Center in Salisbury, NC and the director/curator of Winthrop University Galleries. Works have been exhibited both nationally and internationally at institutions such as the George Gallery in Charleston, SC, Artspace in Raleigh, NC and Musée de la Halle Saint Pierre, Paris.
