About the artist

DeWitt Hardy

American

1940-2017

Dewitt was born in St. Louis, Missouri but spent most of his life in Maine. He specialized in watercolor paintings, working on of anything from landscapes to portraits and nudes. Throughout his career he also held several teaching positions in Maine. His art has been featured in shows and museums around the country and even in the British Museum.
