About the artist

John Wallace

American

1929-2011

American painter. Wallace earned his B.F.A at Washington Univerity and M.F.A. at Indiana State Univeristy. He is the recipient of the Skowhegan Fellowship, Margaret Tiffany Blake Mural Fellowship, Huntington Hartford Foundation Fellowship, and Roswell Museum Artist-in-Residence Grant. He also created a fresco (1954) for the meeting house in South Solon, Maine. Wallace is now an art professor emeritus at Western Connecticut State Univerity.
