Peter Doig

Scottish

b. 1959

Scottish painter. Studied at the Chelsea School of Art in London. He is known for his landscape paintings which are inspired by his own life and experiences as well as changing modern society. He works from photographs and tries to create paintings that draw on collective and individual memories of the place depicted. His works have been exhibited around the world.
