About the artist

Ben Berns

American

1936-2007

American painter. Berns was born in the Netherlands, but moved to North Carolina to teach studio art at UNCG. He has had over 10 solo exhibitions and 40 group exhibitions. His work is characterized by tranquil, detailed landscapes. In 1971, Berns was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship.
