About the artist

Delia Cugat

Argentine

b. 1935

Argentinian contemporary painter. In 1971, alongside artists such as Pablo Obelar and Daniel Zelaya, Cugat founded the graphic art group GRABAS (Graphics from Buenos Aires). She lived and worked in Paris throughout most of her career working in theatre, set design, and graphics. Her works merge styles that are figurative yet oftentimes reminiscent of fantasy.
