About the artist

Jim McCormick

American

1936-2017

American printmaker, illustrator and collage artist. Taught at the University of Nevada, Reno from 1960-1992 in a variety of disciplines: printmaking, drawing, visual foundations and papermaking. Founding member of the Nevada Arts Council. Designed his Silver City house in the early 70s, composed of connected geodesic domes. Known for his prints, drawings and mixed-media works.
