Perry is an interdisciplinary artist born in Tokyo, Japan and based in Boston. She works in mediums of sculpture, installation, painting, performance, and more, utilizing found materials to comment on contemporary culture. Her work, which includes self-portrait photographs (Lost in my Life), drawings made of every pen and marker she owns (Chiral Drawings), and a theatrical song cycle performance work (In Your Mouth), address consumerism and highlight the alluring qualities of everyday, mundane objects.
