Koho Shoda is a Japanese painter and printmaker, associated with the shin-hanga ("new-prints") art movement in Japan during the early 20th century. Shoda was born in Tokyo and later studied portraits and bijin-ga ("beautiful women") painting under artist Ogata Gekko. He worked as an illustrator for Chuo Shimbun Tokyo newspaper. Shoda's work was primarily standalone prints and calender or book illustrations, and included imagery of landscapes, women, night scenes, and nature.
