Russian-American artist. Gerardia was given a scholarship to the Nahum Tschacbasov workshop, and studied under Hans Hofmann at the Hofmann School and Brooklyn Museum of Art. She is known for hard-edge abstraction the focused on the relationship between light and color. She was the president of the American Society of Contemporary Artists.
