Collaborative artists Suzanne Bloom (1943-2025) and Ed Hill (b. 1935)are known as MANUAL. The duo has collaborated on projects since 1974, where they met at Smith College. Pioneers in digital photography, their work has spanned many mediums as they work to explore the connections between nature, ecology, technology, and authenticity. Suzanne Bloom received her BFA and MFA from the University of Pennsylvania. Ed Hill received his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and MFA from Yale University. Work has been shown across the world.
