About the artist

Wendy Kveck

Wendy Kveck’s work confronts popular images and historical depictions of women as cultural markers through the mediums of painting, drawing, collage and performance. Informed by a feminist practice, her collaborative performances activate social perceptions and dialogue around vulnerability, chaos, agency and transformation. Kveck exhibits and lectures nationally and is a 2018 recipient of a Soaring Gardens Artist Retreat fellowship through the Ora Lerman Charitable Trust. She is an arts advocate through her various roles as an artist, organizer, administrator and educator. Kveck is also the founder of Settlers + Nomads, a collective curatorial project highlighting contemporary art and artists with ties to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she lives and works.
