About the artist

Caralea Cole

From the Artist's Bio: "Cara Cole’s artwork has been included in more than seventy exhibitions internationally, including Young Photographers, curated by Lalla Essaydi at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston; Visual to Political at the NYU Photo Center in NYC; Cross Currents at Gallery 44 Center for Contemporary Photography in Toronto and AIR Sidi Ali, in Sefrou, Morocco. She received her MFA at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and her BFA at the Ontario College of Art and Design. Cara has won numerous grants and awards for her work including NEA Grants, and a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. Cara has lived and travelled in South East Asia and Indonesia. Her resulting desire to understand cross cultural differences has had crucial impact upon her work."
