Tina Newlove, she/her, of Ukrainian and British descent is a multi-disciplinary visual artist working primarily in oils from her Campbellville studio on the Traditional Lands of the Anishinaabe, Attawandaron, Haudenosaunee and Wendat First Nations and the Treaty Lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
Her artwork has been exhibited nationally in public and commercial galleries and in artist-run centres including the Art Gallery of Hamilton, The Varley Gallery, Roberts Gallery, Toronto ON, The Leighton Art Centre, Calgary AB and the Saint John Arts Centre, NB and is in private collections internationally. Her oil painting Organizing My Mind is in the City of Toronto’s permanent collection.
Tina has been awarded exhibition, travel and education grants from the Ontario Arts Council and Canada Council for the Arts and she was a juror for the OAC’s Artists in Education program.
Alongside her studio practice, Tina also performs live painting collaborations with musicians and poets, most recently for the Stone & Sky Music & Art Series Artist Residency on Pelee Island.
