About the artist

Savannah Jacob

(Sav)annah Jacob is the face of Sav J. Art. She is a full-time ceramicist based out of Indianapolis. Jacob received a BFA from Herron School of Art and Design where she studied drawing, illustration, and art history. She creates artwork that showcases the intersection between ceramics and illustration. The surface design of her pieces is largely influenced by nature in Southern Indiana where she grew up. She is a recipient of the Indiana Arts Commissions Creative Entrepreneur Grant, the Indy Arts Council Public Art for Neighborhoods Grant, the Indiana Artisan Marketplace Grant, and the Bates Hendricks Community Garden Art Grant.
