“Brevity” explores the fleeting nature of certain seasons of life, symbolized by birds whose existence is strikingly short. Their presence reflects the temporary phases we all move through. The piece connects to the idea of Common Ground in that brevity is universal, every life is limited in time. What ultimately defines us is how we choose to live within that limit and how we share that time with one another.
