A little history is in order. Let’s commence with Thomas, a Californian eight-year-old with a bottle of red ink and a crow nib pen. He’s currently a long way from this scene. Now 68 years old in the Buffalo, New York vicinity, it has been a long journey. Tom (let’s get comfortable) still works in Ink, and has added Watercolor, Pastel, and several other media to his repertoire. Primarily he is a Landscape painter. Practicing in the Studio and Outdoor (Plein Air) painting/drawing. A native westerner, he spent his days exploring the huge landscapes of the Sierra Nevada, Mojave Desert, Colorado Plateau Red Rock country, as well as the Rocky Mountains. From 1985 to 2001, he participated in various exhibits and in several editions of The Sierra Art Shows in Kernville, California. With a brief adventure for 1987-1989 in Casper, Wyoming; showing locally and earning county and state fair awards. Life, in 2006, brought him to the Buffalo, New York area. He acquainted himself with the Eastern landscape and participated in the local art community. Quiet the last several years for many reasons; is currently seeking opportunities to create work and to exhibit. Exploring and capturing and painting the impressive, intimate Eastern landscape.
