During her teenage years Budd studied painting with Richard Diebenkorn at UCLA's Extension School. Further exploring her love of painting she spent a summer at
L' École des Beaux-Arts in Fontainebleau, France and soon after received a BFA
from UCLA.
Budd now devotes herself fully to contemporary abstract painting. She is a member of Tag/The Artists Gallery, Los Angeles Art Association, Women Painters West and International Association of Art-USA. Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries, museums and are in private and corporate collections.
