My choice of art is abstract, so that every viewer can see a part in it. My paintings are meant to create space for the viewer to find his or her own interpretation.

It should be a creative process that takes place on both sides, which should lead to a symbiosis between the artist and the viewer.

My aim is for the viewer to be able to reflect: "What do I see, what do I feel?"

He or she is to find his or her own meaning in it.

For me, a painting is like a beautiful melody that is meant to make one side of the viewer sound. Even then, it was a prerequisite of my music that feelings be awakened. Just as I used to compose with notes, I now do it with colours, shapes and techniques. My art is meant to inspire and evoke emotions.

I've been told that every time one looks at a painting of mine there is something new to discover, and that's exactly what I want to achieve, because the paintings contain so many details. Thus, for every perceived detail, another point of connection or emotion is triggered, which reinforces the painting's meaning the viewer wants to give it to.

My art comes from within, it is like an inner call, and I am often surprised by what comes out in the end myself! Sometimes I even need several attempts or corrections until I am satisfied. Sometimes it is even difficult to drop the brush because I am completely absorbed by the painting. To be honest, sometimes paintings even have to subtly grow on me. But other times I get to an instant point I can live with or it feels right. And when it feels right, I love it even more - not in the sense of extra, but in the sense of "every moment I look at it, it speaks to me even more".
