Artist Statement
Art is how I see the world, and what I see continues to evolve.
My current work in fiber and thread intersects layers of reality and fantasy, life and rebirth. There is a strong dose of realism such that the viewer “knows” the subject from a distance. Ahhh, but something more lies within, and that is the draw and the depth of this work.
I want to engage the viewer in a new way of seeing the natural world around us, and once again spark the sheer delight we felt as children when seeing nature's wonders. From this small encounter, I wish to ignite a desire to preserve our world for future generations through commitments to those working to save it.
