Some Lady is writing this in the third person as biographies imply that another person is writing on behalf of the person in question; in this way I choose to honor the history of biography while showcasing my clever wit and skill in highlighting the humor in *most* things (typically achieved alongside a vulnerable disclosure of sorts).
Some Lady lives and works in San Francisco. She received her Bachelors in Studio Art at Cal-Poly Humboldt, along with a post-baccalaureate certification in Museum & Gallery Practices via an internship with the Morris Graves Museum of Art. Some attended the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) for her MFA and was sadly part of the final class to attend before the school's closure in 2022. Some is currently finishing her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and the California Institute for Integral Studies (CIIS) with plans to combine elements of physiology into forms of public art that foster civic engagement.
When she isn't creating or studying for classes, Some enjoys long contemplative walks in nature, yoga, spending time with friends and family, reading, caring for her plants, contemplating the working mechanisms of the cosmos, making friends with animals and plants, talks with the wind, pattern recognition, and exploring altered states of consciousness via breath work, meditation, trance-like flow states, and the like. Some is insatiably curious about the state of the world, history through an art history lens, and theorizing which creative and/or healing modalities are most effective in the micro-level with the highest potential to reflect in the macro-level.
Some Lady plans to continue her studious pursuits and research-driven creative practice in perpetuity. Her ultimate goal is to organize community-focused public art events around the world that explores various points of interest around the central theme of empowering others and raising consciousness. In the meantime, Some is enjoying the journey of gathering the necessary knowledge and tools while becoming the version of my that is best equipped to steward these dreams in reality.
