My work begins with curiosity. I am drawn to ordinary objects, weathered surfaces, vintage neon signs, and overlooked subjects that many people pass by without a second glance. Through observation and careful attention, I look for the stories, character, and beauty hidden within these everyday things.

Working primarily in watercolor, I am captivated by the medium's transparency, luminosity, and ability to capture subtle shifts of light, color, and texture. My process is slow and intentional, beginning with observation and study before evolving through layered washes and detailed refinement. The act of painting becomes a way of spending time with a subject, noticing details that might otherwise go unseen.

Many of the objects and places I paint have been shaped by time. Faded signs, worn surfaces, found objects, and familiar artifacts carry traces of history and human experience. Rather than focusing on what has been lost, I am interested in what remains: the stories, character, and quiet significance that develop over time.

Through my work, I hope to encourage viewers to pause, look more closely, and discover something they may have otherwise overlooked. Whether the subject is a vintage neon sign, a still life, or an object touched by age and use, my goal is to create paintings that invite reflection, spark curiosity, and reveal the extraordinary within the ordinary.
