“View Through Cleo’s Window Box is representative of the work I have been doing for the past four years. I have a longstanding interest in the development of textile materials as art materials and have coupled this with an interest in developing the illusion of deep space in what is actually a relatively shallow framework.

The forms are constructed from welded wire, aluminum sheet metal and fabric with additional surface embellishment of paint and glitter. The pieces are a reflection of my personal enjoyment of life and how people through the ages have lived.

The work may shout as a total image but the specific associations whisper. If the audience connects with the work, they are delighted and intrigued with the images. It is my desire that even the most resistant viewer is left with a reservoir of images to contemplate”.
