Sarah Wold — Artist Bio

Sarah Wold is a Minnesota artist whose expressive paintings celebrate resilience, nature, color, and the return of joy.

Encouraged by a creative family, Sarah began taking art classes at the Minneapolis Institute of Art as a child. Art became both a refuge and a source of joy during challenging years. By high school, she was invited to teach drawing and painting to her peers, and works from a student exhibition were purchased by a teacher and her school’s art department.

Although Sarah continued creating throughout her life, returning to oil painting in 2020 rekindled her passion and began a new chapter in her artistic practice. Her work is intuitive and emotionally driven, moving between expressive landscapes, florals, interiors, figures, and abstraction. Nature, memory, and the restorative power of color are recurring threads.

Sarah’s work has been exhibited through the Arts Consortium of Carver County and at Carver County libraries. Her painting Nightmares Be Damned received First Place in the 2025 Arts Consortium of Carver County Members Show. And sold to private collectors. She has also participated in regional art events and will exhibit at ArtStock and Art Wander.

At the heart of Sarah’s work is a desire to create connection. Her paintings acknowledge that life can profoundly change us while celebrating what can emerge afterward: curiosity, beauty, hope, and joy.
