I consider myself a painter of abstract works, guided not by the compass of representation, but rather by the tides of impulse and intuition. In this creative space, I find a language that transcends the literal—a dialect that appeals directly to the emotional core of both artist and observer. I return to a single refrain: “Ask yourself not what it is, ask yourself how it makes you feel. On that basis, you may just find that elusive connection with art.” This philosophy is the cornerstone of my practice, a gentle invitation to approach the unfamiliar with open senses and an open heart.

Volunteering as artist in residence for Looking at the Stars foundation, I partner with classical musicians, creating art during musical performances in correctional institutions in Ontario and Quebec, Canada, United States, as well as in Eastern Europe. See: www.Lookingatthestars.org .
