Pastel sticks, are used to create pastel paintings. Also known as soft pastels, are versatile art materials used for drawing and painting.  Also hard pastel sticks are often used to create lines or controlled edges. Pastels are known for their vibrant colors and ability to create both painterly and detailed effects.  In my experience working with pastels I learned that a pastel artist can create paintings that can often look like an oil painting.  Always have found that effect to be amazing. 

 I would like to briefly mention that in the USA I became, in my home state of Wisconsin, the president of the Wisconsin Pastel Society for several years. After that experience I relocated to the state of New Mexico and taught  group art lessons in pastel for 2 years.  As a pastel artist in the USA I focused on nature and landscapes for subject matter. 

 After my New Mexico experience, I moved to Ukraine where I began teaching acrylic painting classes and exhibiting my acrylic paintings.  So in this pastel art collection you will see some samples of my pastel paintings that were completed and purchased long ago.
