He invites individuals into a refreshing atmosphere created by combining different landscapes, Sky-scapes, seasons, and different times of day. In his work he hopes to provide an escape that invokes serenity.
Education
Reginal attended Fort Valley State University where he received a B.A in Visual Arts and Media Studies with a focus in Visual Illustration. He also received departmental honors in Visual & Performing Arts and Media Studies.
In 2017, Reggie found himself home in Atlanta with a goal of making his art into a business. With little connections in the art community, he found himself starting from square one. While working at a local print shop, he met several local artists that were familiar with the art scene in Atlanta. In 2019, he created his brand Royal Light Art and started to venture into selling his printed and original art at local events. Being a novice, he found it difficult to find events that catered to his target audience and had little success. In March 2020 during the beginning of the quarantine, he developed his skills in a new medium – acrylic paint.
In his transition into a new medium from colored pencil and marker, he needed more guidance to master his new craft. Fortunately, in June of 2020 he met award winning painter Charlie Palmer who began to mentor him on his path to become a painter. Now he has developed a unique style and body of work. He has also completed 40+ paintings during this time. Reggie now has opened his own studio space at Westview Studios
